Jordan Culpepper is the CEO of Buttons By Jordan. He started his business in 2006 with a $500 loan from his parents. Since then his buttons have attracted the likes of radio and TV personalities such as Michael Baisden and Tavis Smiley. He has made buttons for customers across the country and a few from around the world. In 2009 he was named the BLACK ENTERPRISE MAGAZINE Teen Entrepreneur of the Year, and in 2013, he was named the SSSBA Youth Entrepreneur of the Year in his hometown of Chicago, IL. In addition to being a CEO, he also does professional public speaking on the importance of being an entrepreneur. He has spoken for universities and companies around the country including PepsiCo, Purdue University, Texas Christian University and the National Black MBA Association. He has appeared on TV shows, most notably PBS “BizKidz” which highlighted young entrepreneurs around the country.
